Preventing Workplace Harassment And Discrimination
Format #3: Online Self-Study
Why use AHI’s online self-study workplace harassment and discrimination course?
Online self-study offers the lowest cost per participant of any of our training methods. Also, if you find that it's difficult to get all of your supervisors to schedule two consecutive hours of their time to take either an in-house or live webinar training class, you can use the online self-study format to solve that problem. The course is broken into individual modules so that your busy supervisors don't need to take the entire course in one sitting or even at the same location.
AHI's course meets all of the recommended interactive requirements for online self-study workplace harassment and discrimination training. It includes questions that assess learning, skill-building activities that assess the supervisor's application and understanding of content learned, and numerous hypothetical scenarios about harassment and discrimination.
Our course meets these requirements by:
- Using brief quizzes at the end of each module to make sure key points are understood
- Having supervisors analyze six workplace scenarios that are based on actual cases involving age, race, religion, status, disability, and national origin discrimination.
- Giving supervisors a 15-question final exam that gives them instant feedback on their score, as well as on which questions they got wrong so they can learn from their mistakes
- Making supervisors pretend they are on a jury to analyze a case study to see whether an illegal hostile environment existed or retaliation took place
- Requiring supervisors to interact with the course material by clicking on bullets, hovering over pictures, and other interactive techniques to keep them engaged while learning the material
- Allowing supervisors to click on a button where they can ask a question on any of the material and receive a reply from an AHI subject matter expert within two business days
In addition, our learning management system (LMS) system makes it easy for your organization to implement the course with these features:
- Supervisors can resume taking the course at the same point they exited the course
- Supervisors can view where they are within any module using the “menu” button
- Supervisors will see how many modules they have completed each time they log into the LMS
- AHI will provide reports to HR showing the completion status of each supervisor as well as whether they passed the final exam in order for HR to track the progress of each supervisor
- Supervisors will receive a certificate of completion upon finishing the course
- AHI will save you time by inputting each supervisor into the LMS system and sending e-mails with instructions on taking the course to each supervisor
